Checkin’ Psychological Health & The Military with Guest Matt Thompson

When looking to address the topic of psychological health and the military, I wanted different perspectives. I wanted to understand it from someone who has experienced it first hand and I wanted someone who works in the mental health field. I got both with this weeks guest, Matt Thompson.

Matt is a Veteran who was so inspired by his own work in therapy after serving, that he went to school and became a therapist himself. He now serves as the Director of Psychological Health for the Tennessee National Guard.

Honored to have Matt share his experiences and his knowledge. The things we do not know, we create space to learn. The things we have never experienced, we find things that will create the connections. With space and connections, we can understand and strengthen. As individuals, and collectively.

This episode does talk about some very sensitive topics. If you or someone you know is in danger of hurting themselves or others, know that you are not alone.
